Der Titel ist das Zitat - Title of a 1942 photo esay in LIFE magazine.

Thomas beschäftigt sich mit (historischen) Rassenunruhen in Detroit und zeigt damit auf, daß Amerika nicht der Gesunde unter Kranken war - sondern innerlich genauso verrottet war, wie die Länder, gegen die es im Krieg stand (trotzdem bin ich sicher, hätte ich damals gelebt, wäre die Wahl zwischen Deutschland und den USA sehr leicht gefallen - man ich denn die Wahl gehabt hätte).

Mike Harris ist eine angenehme Überraschung. Vince Colletta, der (mitunter völlig zurecht) für seine schweren, alles zukleisternden Inks angegriffen wird), sorgt in den nächsten Monaten (zusammen mit Tony deZuniga) dafür, daß die Serie zeichnerisch ansehbar bleibt.

Crisis on Infinite Earths kündigt sich an - und damit das Ende der All-Star Squadron. Ich kann mir vorstellen, daß Thomas tobte, als ihm mitgeteilt wurde, daß alles, wofür er die letzten vier Jahre gearbeitet hat im Nachhinein ohne Bedeutung war (M.E. war es ein Fehler Earth-Two abzuschaffen - und damit die ganzen klassischen Ausgaben der großen Superhelden).
