Noch eine Roy Thomas-Serie, die in Deutschland fast unbekannt ist. Angesiedelt auf Earth-Two (wo Superman um den ersten Weltkrieg herum auf die Erde kam), dreht sie sich um die Kinder, Patensöhne und Nachfolger der Justice Society.

Nach dem Erfolg von All-Star Squadron lief hier alles richtig: Co-Creators waren Jerry Ordway und Mike Machlan. Das erste Jahr (und damit das erste Abenteuer) wurde von Jerry Ordways Zeichnungen bestimmt, dann sollte Don Newton (einer der besten Batman-Zeichner aller Zeiten) die Serie übernehmen, er starb aber im Alter von nur 49 Jahren, nachdem er eine Geschichte und einige wenige weitere Seiten gezeichnet hatte.

Schließlich übernahm Todd McFarlane die Serie und drückte ihr seinen Stempel auf. McFarlane, später durch Spider-Man und Spawn zu einer Berühmtheit wurde, erreichte hier bereits den Höhepunkt seiner Zeichenkunst.

Die Geschichte ist eingebettet in die Infinity Inc. Geschichte. Al Dellinges hat die Seiten re-inked. Dellinges hat viel Enthusiasmus - aber Null-Talent. Im Heft ist seine Version des Covers abgebildet. Vergleicht man das mit dem Original fällt einem auf, wie furchtbar er ist. Man sollte jedoch nicht vergessen, daß 1984 die Computertechnik (auch das Scannen) noch in den Kinderschuhen steckte. Heute ist es möglich, aus einem gedruckten Heft eine Druckvorlage abzuleiten, damals war das ein Traum. Ohne Dellinges wäre die Geschichte jahrzehntelang nicht zu drucken gewesen.
