Nach dem Ende der Hit-Comics gehörten die Fantastic Four zu den Helden, die sofort bei Williams wieder aufgenommen wurden. Glücklicherweise wurden fast alle Stan Lee/Jack Kirby-Ausgaben gebracht.
Natürlich wird Stan Lee jedem erzählen, dass die Fantastic Four seine Idee waren. Daran wil ich auch gar nicht zweifeln. Aber auf TwoTomorrows*, einer Seite die sich ausgiebig mit Kirby beschäftigt, wird dessen Anteil ins rechte Licht gerückt. Wer sich mit Comics auskennt, wird keinen Zweifel daran haben, dass der kreative Kopf im Team Lee/Kirby immer Kirby war. Lee hat seine Verdienste, die man gar nicht schmälern sollte, aber er ist längst nicht der Comicgott, als den er sich gerne sieht.
